F.A.Q.

F.A.Q.

I know. I know. You have questions. My goal is to answer them. This post is constantly evolving and being updated with questions that I am asked all the time, both here and in my daily life. If you don’t see the answer to your question here, feel free to contact me or leave a comment below.

But, before you begin, please read the disclaimer.

Why essential oils?

I have issues. Don’t we all? I decided that personally, I didn’t want to constantly have to take medications for everything (please see disclaimer). I did a lot of research and many of the avenues that I ventured down, led to essential oils. I decided to look into it and here I am.

Why Young Living?

One of the things that attracted me to Young Living was the Seed to Seal promise. This is a commitment that Young Living makes to never knowingly compromise the integrity of the oils from the moment they are planted in the ground to the sealing of the bottle.

Being a science teacher, I was impressed with the level of testing that is performed on each oil before the company considers it worthy of being distributed. Tests that I teach about in class (mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, etc.) are used to determine the quality and pureness of the oils.

I was also impressed with the community that Young Living has. There is no competition. There’s just kind hearted people who are wanting everyone to have an opportunity to experience the same life changing opportunity as we have.

What is an essential oil?

Essential oils are derived from plants. Often the entire plant is used to create the oil. It is regularly described as the “life blood” of the plant and can be very potent. Most oils are extracted using a process called steam distillation. This is a process that is used with substances that are sensitive to temperatures (heat can break down the constituents of the oils). This video explains how our oils are distracted.

Do I have to sell?

Absolutely not. When I first became a member, it was only to enjoy the discount. It was only later that I decided to sell and there was never any pressure to do so. If you do choose to sell, I will be there to support you the whole way.

Are there any purchase requirements?

No. You can order the oils as you need. As long as you purchase $50 of products in a calendar year, your membership remains active.

What is Essential Rewards?

One of my ER orders…

I think of Essential Rewards (ER) as a monthly wellness box. There are many benefits to ordering this way opposed to a quick order. The major benefits are the extra promotions that you receive for ordering (read: free oils) and, you also have an opportunity to earn points. These points can be redeemed later for free products.

Your ER can be changed every month and can be cancelled at any time by calling customer service.
